GCSO investigating possible DUI

| September 1, 2022 4:23 PM

MOSES LAKE - The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said in a release Wednesday that they are investigating a possible DUI after a car collided with a house in the Larson Community.

The collision occurred at Vandenberg Loop and Halsey Drive.

The driver, identified as 58-year-old Richland resident Abel Ramos, has been charged with a DUI and was cited and released, GCSO Spokesman Kyle Foreman said.

Ramos sustained minor injuries in the collision but was not transported to the hospital. There were also no injuries to the home's occupants.

The DUI was charged against Ramos because Foreman said the deputy was able to smell intoxicants and there was evidence in the car supporting the deputy’s observation.

“Don’t drink and drive,” the release said. “This is what can happen.”
