MOSES LAKE - Members of the Moses Lake Watershed Council listen to a presentation from Grant County Health District Environmental Health Manager Stephanie Shopbell (right) during the council’s first in-person meeting in two years. The council, which is comprised of representatives from the City of Moses Lake, the GCHD, the Grant County Conservation District, the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District, the Washington State Department of Ecology, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Grant County Tourism, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and several interested citizens, was established to find ways to improve the quality of the lake water and reduce the number of potentially dangerous blue-green algae blooms that make the lake difficult to use in the summer.
