Red Cross blood drive coming to Ephrata

The Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 21 at the Ephrata Recreation Center, 112 Basin St. SW.

Donations are by appointment only, due to COVID-19 precautions. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 1-800-Red Cross (733-2767) or online at RedCrossBlood.org (enter “EphrataCommunity”).

Organizers strongly encourage donors to get plenty of sleep and eat fruits, vegetables and other foods high in iron, to ensure they’re healthy enough to donate. All COVID-19 protocols will be followed, including temperature checks, enhanced disinfecting and social distancing.
