RITZVILLE — A Moses Lake woman was injured on Tuesday when she reportedly crossed the centerline on Interstate 90 and struck a semi-truck near Ritzville.

About 5:05 p.m. Mandy Epolito, 36, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Impala west on I-90, just east of Ritzville, when she reportedly crossed the median. The Impala reportedly struck a 1996 Kenworth tractor and trailer driven by Ronald Weaver, 52, of East Earl, Pa., who was traveling east on I-90, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Epolito was injured in the collision and transported to East Adams Rural Hospital in Ritzville for treatment. Weaver was not injured. The Impala was totaled, while the semi-truck was damaged and towed from the scene.

The cause of the collision was Epolito allegedly crossing the centerline on I-90, according to the patrol. Epolito was cited for second-degree negligent driving by the patrol.
