Collision in Quincy snarls traffic on Thursday
QUINCY — Two men were spared injuries on Thursday in a two-vehicle collision west of Quincy.
About 3:55 p.m. Andrew Stiles, 30, of Wenatchee, was driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma east on state Route 28, about six miles west of Quincy, and attempted to pass another vehicle. Stiles reportedly lost control of his vehicle, swerved into the westbound SR-28 lane and struck a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Timothy Tucker, 65, of Moses Lake, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Neither of the drivers was injured in the collision. Both Stiles and Tucker were wearing their seatbelts and the patrol does not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the collision. The Tacoma sustained reportable damages and was impounded. The Caravan also sustained reportable damages and was towed from the scene.
The patrol reports Stiles was cited for driving too fast for conditions. SR-28 was fully blocked for two hours as the collision was investigated and the roadway was cleared.
