Better life for Dreamers

| December 13, 2018 2:00 AM

Immigration should not be a term that we use. Maybe we could use “Dreamer” instead. Migrants come to the U.S. to find a better job and work the hard jobs that American citizens won’t work. Some people say that immigrants are taking the jobs from the citizens, but those jobs have been open and we just come in to fill them.

I find it frustrating that Americans say we are taking their jobs when most of the jobs we work are cleaning fields. Employers look for workers each summer. I used to go to the fields every summer, and I would rarely see an American who would be working there. If there was one, it was usually one who fell on hard times because of drugs or didn’t finish high school. With this In mind, the U.S. government should make it easier for immigrants who want to come to work and get a better life to become citizens.
