QUINCY — A Quincy man was cited in connection with a weekend collision near Quincy that sent one person to the hospital.

About 7:40 p.m. Sunday Rollie Ronish, 20, of Quincy, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck east on Road 7 Northwest, about 2.5 miles south of Quincy, when he reportedly ran a stop sign at state Route 281. The Silverado reportedly struck a 2014 Kenworth semi-truck and trailer driven by Eric Mitchell, 32, of Cambridge, Idaho, who was heading north on SR-281.

Debris from the collision reportedly hit a 2002 Honda Acura driven by James Chavezgaytan, 19, of Quincy. The Washington State Patrol reports Mitchell was injured in the collision and transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center for treatment. Ronish and Chavezgaytan were not injured.

Ronish was cited for distracted driving and failure to stop at a stop sign.
