GEORGE — There were no injuries in a shooting early Wednesday morning south of George.

About 1:15 a.m. the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired in the 15800 block of Frenchman Hills Road West, about five miles south of George. Deputies responded to the scene and reportedly found that two vehicles outside of a home in the area had been hit by bullets, according to the sheriff’s office.

One of the bullets reportedly ricocheted off one of the cars and went into a nearby home where a family of seven was inside sleeping. Witnesses reported seeing a black two-door Honda Accord flee the area after the shots were fired. There were no reported injuries.
