WENATCHEE — If you’d like to know what it’s like living next door to famous authors, be in the audience this Saturday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. for a visit by New York Times best-selling author Marja Mills.

Mills parlayed such a life into the New York Times best-seller, “The Mockingbird Next Door.” It is the Fall 2015 selection for the Columbia River Reads book series.

In her memoir, Mills recounts her time living next door to the enigmatic author of “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Go Set a Watchman,” Harper Lee and her sister Alice Lee.

“The Mockingbird Next Door” gives great insight into Harper Lee’s life and of the town and its inhabitants that inspired “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Monroeville, Alabama.

Marja Mills will be at the Wenatchee Public Library to discuss the book and most likely the Lee sisters. This is a free event that is open to the public.

A book signing will follow the presentation with books available to purchase from A Book for All Seasons. For more information visit www.ncrl.org/columbiariverreads.
