| August 14, 2015 1:45 PM

February 2, 1945 - August 10, 2015

Sharon F. Smith, 70 years old, of Moses Lake passed away Aug. 10, 2015 in the company of family and loved ones. She was born Feb. 2, 1945 in Alhambra, Calif. to Russell Lionel Cumby II and Marie Della Cumby (Hibbard).

She enjoyed playing bingo and loved to perform karaoke, mostly the "oldies," even recording her own CD.

Sharon worked as an inside advertising representative at Columbia Basin Herald for over 13 years. She started the "Teacher of the Month" which is still running today. Poor health forced her to retire but that didn't slow her down much as she volunteered at the Eagles and Senior Center.

She endured dialysis for almost five years due to kidney failure brought on by diabetes.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kimberly. She is survived by her brothers Tracy, Andrew, Rusty and Robert; children Tammy, Melody, Shane, Matthew, Travis, Sarah, Jason, Jeffery and twins Stacy and Tracy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She has always said she had two "great loves" in her life; her husband Ralph "Cotton" Smith, who preceded her in death, and Jordan "Bash" Scott, her companion and soul mate for almost 16 years.

A memorial will be held Sunday, Aug. 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagles, located at 1517 W. Broadway, Moses Lake with a reception to follow. Comfortable casual attire is suggested.
