MOSES LAKE - A wanted Moses Lake man was found hiding under a bed after allegedly breaking into a home when trying to escape police Thursday.

Moses Lake police reportedly found Enrique Leon, 22, on Sandy Street Thursday morning, who had an outstanding state Department of Corrections warrant for a probation violation. Leon allegedly ran away from the officers, cutting through several backyards and over fences, according to police reports.

Leon then allegedly ran into a residence and was later found hiding under the bed. Leon reportedly begged the resident who was inside at the time not to tell police he was in there.

Leon was arrested without incident on the warrant and on suspicion of resisting arrest and residential burglary, according to police reports.

Other residents denied to press charges against Leon for cutting through their property, noting a fear of retaliation.
