ROYAL CITY - There was a mini cheer camp for youngsters at Red Rock Elementary last week, a fund raising effort organized through the high school cheer program.

Practice was held after school from 3-5 p.m. on February 4-6. The young participants, from kindergarten through sixth grade, then performed with their high school mentor cheerleaders at the High School girls varsity basketball game against Warden.

The performance was held at half-time in the Royal high school gym. The cheerleaders provided the girls with ribbon hair bands and beaded necklaces in Royal colors, along with souvenir pom-poms and shirts that said "Live Love Cheer."
