PUBLIC NOTICE - FRANKLIN COUNTY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Franklin County Planning and Building Department, determined to be the Lead Agency pursuant to the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) of 1971, as amended, and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 197-11, has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) concerning the following proposed project:

Availability of Environmental Documents

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Franklin County Planning and Building Department, determined to be the Lead Agency pursuant to the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) of 1971, as amended, and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 197-11, has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) concerning the following proposed project:

Project/Location: The proposed consists of the

construction of two (2) controlled

atmosphere storage buildings that

are approximately 45,900 + square

feet in size (270’ x 170’) for The

Douglas Fruit Company. This project

is located within the General

Industrial (I-2) Zoning District at the

intersection of Clark Road and

Taylor Flats Road on a 34.8 acre

site, north of the City of Pasco at

site address 110 Taylor Flats Road,

Pasco, WA 99301. Said property is

located in Section 33, Township 10

North, Range 29 East, W.M., Franklin

County, Washington - Parcel Number

124-330-152.

Copies of the environmental documents, mitigation measures, site plans, and other materials pertinent to the proposed project are available for review in the Franklin County Planning and Building Department at 1016 North 4th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301. Those wishing to have copies of said documents mailed to them will be charged a fee covering the costs of reproduction and mailing.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act and WAC 197-11-340, the MDNS, site plans, the Environmental Checklist, and other materials pertinent to the proposed project has been sent to agencies with jurisdiction, the Washington State Department of Ecology, the Benton-Franklin Council of Governments, and others having an interest in the proposal.

The MDNS was issued on April 4, 2014 by the Franklin County Planning and Building Department. Comments must be received by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 (14 days from publication) at which time the MDNS will become final.
