Cicotte raises $100k for Congressional run

KENNEWICK - Fourth District Republican Congressional candidate George Cicotte (sounds like Seahawk) raised more than $100,000 in the Federal Election Commission quarterly reporting period that ended March 31, his campaign has announced.

A resident of Kennewick, Cicotte is running for the U.S. House seat being vacated by Doc Hastings of Pasco. The father of seven's positions on faith and family have broad appeal among voters in the district, campaign manager Scott Boyce believes.

"Supporters repeatedly cite George's character and integrity as the reasons he has their votes," Boyce said.

Cicotte is not a career politician, Boyce said. His life has been spent building a family and a successful small business focused on helping employers deal with the challenges caused by government regulation.

Cicotte serves on the board of the Blue Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America and previously served on the board of United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties. He is a 12-year Rotarian and past-president of the Columbia Valley Daybreak Rotary Club.

Cicottee is a former Scoutmaster of troops 213 and 223 and has also served in numerous leadership and teaching positions in his church.
