She was also reunited with her son Richard Mark Peters who died of leukemia at the young tender age of 6 and her loving sister Delcia Cox. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Dorothy is survived by her 14 loving children: Ruth Spurbeck (husband Larry), Ruby Peters, Vi (Viola) Russell (husband Joe), Larry Peters (wife Linda), Gary Peters (wife Marilynn), Pete Peters (wife Bonnie), Ken (Kenneth) Peters (wife Linda), Burl Peters, Pearl Russell (husband Charlie), Phil (Phillip) Peters (wife Joanne), Mary Ellen Albertson (husband David), Grace Coates (husband Larry), Tim (Timothy) Peters (wife Anice), and Annie Stadtmueller; 32 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Delmer Bault and Vearl Bault; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy throughout her entire life was known for her gentle, yet very strong and determined spirit. As a child, she traveled around with her family until moving to Moses Lake in 1941---- in an era that didn't always encourage a focus on education, but on farming the lands and making a living just to survive, ... Dorothy, with her determined spirit and perseverance defied the norm and successfully graduated from high school in 1942. Dorothy met her husband, Albert during her Senior year of high school and they were married shortly after she graduated from high school in 1942.

Dorothy and Albert began their life together on their first farm, commonly known as "the Cope Place" where they resided until shortly after their first child Ruth was born in 1943. They then moved to Moses Lake and bought land known as "the Ottmar Homestead" and continued farming and growing their family; until, they had 13 children. In 1959 they packed up their family and moved to Marshall, WA where they purchased land known as "Valley of the Horses". Using their expertise in farming, they began to raise hay, grew a garden that was able to sustain the family (which Dorothy loved to tend). Horses, sheep, and goats were added to their farm... and as if this wasn't enough: Dorothy worked 10 years off of the farm. While living in Marshall their last two children Timothy (Tim) and Annie were born.

Once Annie, their youngest graduated from Cheney High School (being the last of all 14 to graduate from Cheney), Dorothy and Albert moved to Spokane and bounced from a few different homes; until, they finally found the perfect little retirement home, in West Spokane to make their own,... In 1985 Jesus took Albert to live with him in heaven. Dorothy continued to live in Spokane. When she began needing additional assistance she moved in with her youngest daughter, Annie who cared for her; until, she moved to Moses Lake and lived with her oldest daughter, Ruth (an interesting side note; Ruth and her husband Larry purchased the last 5 acres of the Ottmar Homestead in 1972. Dorothy and Albert had still owned the last 5 acres which were apart of the original land they had owned when Ruth and the majority of her brothers and sisters were growing up). Towards the end of her life when her health required 24 hour care, she was blessed to reside at Lakeridge Solana where she was surrounded by an amazing group of people who cared for her; before, her wonderful journey here on earth came to an end.
