CBSS boys bounce back with big win

WILSON CREEK - Michael Northup scored 27 points and Eric Curtiss added 22 as the Phoenix bounced back from a 40 point loss at home to beat Wilson Creek on the road by 41 points Friday.

"The boys came out sluggish after a tough game the night before and were down 6-0 early," coach Rolland Hansen said. "But we regrouped to take a 20 point lead into the half,

Hansen said his halftime speech to the team centered on the mental mistakes the team committed in the firs 16 minutes of play.

"The boys came out strong in the third quarter to put the game away and get everyone a chance to play, Hansen said."

The win improves the Phoenix to 5-4 in league play and 8-8 overall.

CBSS is back in action Friday when the team hosts Moses Lake Christina Academy Game time is 7:30 p.m.
