GRANT COUNTY WATER CONSERVANCY BOARD NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS FOR CHANGE OF GROUNDWATER PERMITS G3-29405P and G3-29590P

Lawrence Orchards LLC of Royal City, Washington has made an

APPLICATION FOR CHANGE/TRANSFER of Water Right to add points of

withdrawal, and change the place of use under Groundwater Permit

G3-29590P to the Board.

TAKE NOTICE:

Lawrence Orchards LLC of Royal City, Washington has made an APPLICATION FOR CHANGE/TRANSFER of Water Right to add points of withdrawal, and change the place of use under Groundwater Permit G3-29590P to the Board.   The Board has designated such application for active Board review assigning it a number of GRAN-11-03.  The Department of Ecology has assigned tracking number CG3-29590@1 to this application.

Be it known that Ground Water Permit G3-29590P with a priority date of December 2, 1993, having a current authorization for 1500 gallons per minute, and 483 acre-feet per year, for the seasonal irrigation of 138 acres.  The existing permitted place of use is 123 acres within the NW1/4 of Section 28 lying north of the irrigation district canal, and 15 acres within the N1/2NE1/4 and N1/2S1/2NE1/4 of Section 28, T. 17 N., R. 27 E., W.M., Grant County, Washington, also being included in parcel numbers, 161286000, 161284000 and 161285000 respectively.   The existing points of withdrawal are as follows:  Well #1, NW1/4 SW1/4 Section 21, Township 17 North, Range 27 East, W.M., Grant County, lying 1850 feet east and 2550 feet north from the SW corner of said Section 21, lying within parcel # 161263000.  There are proposed 3 additional wells within the N1/2SW1/4 of said Section 21, lying within parcel

# 16263000.

The proposed changes to this permit are to add additional points of withdrawal, and change the place of use associated with this permit.   The proposed place of use is 123 acres within the NW1/4 of Section 28 lying north of the irrigation district canal, and 15 acres within the NE1/4, and that portion of the N1/2 SE1/4 lying north of the irrigation district canal in Section 28, T. 17 N., R. 27 E., W.M. Grant County, Washington, also being included in parcel numbers, 161286000, 161284000,161285000 and 161287000 respectively.   The proposed points of withdrawal are as follows:  Well #1 NW1/4 SW1/4 Section 21, Township 17 North, Range 27 East, W.M., Grant County, lying 1850 feet east and 2550 feet north from the SW corner of said Section 21, lying within parcel # 161263000.  There are proposed 3 additional wells within the N1/2SW1/4 of said Section 21, lying within parcel # 161263000.  There is 1 proposed additional well lying within the S1/2S1/2NW1/4 Section 28, Township 17 North, Range 27 East, W.M., lying within parcel # 161286000.  There is 1 proposed additional well lying within the N1/2N1/2SE1/4 of said Section 28, lying within parcel # 161287000.

There will be no change in the instantaneous water withdrawal, annual authorized withdrawal, or purpose of use associated with this permit.

Be it known that Ground Water Permit G3-29405P with a priority date of February 25, 1993, having a current authorization for 2500 gallons per minute, and 840 acre-feet per year, for the seasonal irrigation and frost control of 240 acres.  The existing permitted place of use is 205 acres within the SW1/4 and the S1/2SE1/4 of Section 21, and 35 acres within the N1/2NE1/4 and N1/2S1/2NE1/4 of Section 28, T. 17 N., R. 27 E., W.M., Grant County, Washington, also being included in parcel numbers, 161263000, 161263001, 161284000 and 161285000 respectively.   The existing points of withdrawal are as follows:  Well #1, NW1/4 SW1/4 Section 21, Township 17 North, Range 27 East, W.M., Grant County, lying 1850 feet east and 2550 feet north from the SW corner of said Section 21, lying within parcel # 161263000.  There are proposed 3 additional wells within the N1/2SW1/4 of said Section 21, lying within parcel # 16263000.

There will be no change in the instantaneous water withdrawal, annual authorized withdrawal, or purpose of use associated with this permit.

Any interested party may submit comments, objections, and other information to the board regarding this application.  The comments and information may be submitted in writing or verbally at any public meeting of the board held to discuss or decide on the application.  Additionally, the Water Conservancy Board will consider written comments or information

provided within thirty (30) days from the last date of publication of this notice, said written comments or information to be provided to its office located 1525 Wheeler Road, Moses Lake, WA 98837.

Any protests or objections to the approval of this application may be filed with the Department of Ecology and must include a detailed statement of the basis for objections.  Protests must be accompanied by a fifty dollar ($50.00) recording fee and filed with the Cashiering Section, State of Washington, Department of Ecology, PO Box 47611, Olympia WA 98504-7611 within thirty (30) days from (May 31, 2011.
