MATTAWA — Three adult Hispanic males were found shot on Road 24.7 Southwest, two miles west of Mattawa last night.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunshots at 9:15 p.m. to find two men dead and a third close to death, according to Grant County Undersheriff John Turley.

“(Paramedics) attempted to revive one of the victims without success and he too died without regaining consciousness,” he stated.

Two of the men were found on Road 24.7 Southwest, the third was located in the middle of Road 26 Southwest, nearly two miles from the others, Turley stated.

The identities of the victims were not released and the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab is assisting the sheriff’s office with the investigation.
