Prep roundup: Ephrata volleyball falls to Ellensburg in district semis

ELLENSBURG — Ephrata fell to No. 1 seed Ellensburg in the district semifinals 25-12, 22-25, 25-12, 25-7.

Ephrata led 19-15 in the second set before Ellensburg stormed back to take a 20-19 lead. The Tigers responded with a 6-2 run.

Ephrata will play Nov. 2 for a chance to advance to a GNL crossover match.

Girls soccer

East Valley 1, Ephrata 0

GRANDVIEW — East Valley edged Ephrata 1-0 in the CWAC district championship.

Ephrata will host Clarkston in a GNL crossover game, with the winner advancing to the Class 2A state tournament.

La Salle 6, Warden 1

YAKIMA — Warden lost to top-seeded La Salle in the district semifinals 6-1.

La Salle’s last loss was Sept. 15.

Warden plays Cle Elum-Roslyn Nov. 2, 4 p.m., at Marquette Stadium for a state tournament berth.
