Armed robber steals cash, safe from store

SCHWANA — A masked man reportedly robbed a Schwana store at gunpoint Monday morning and got away with cash and a safe.

The clerk at Outpost Grocery in Schwana called Grant County deputies about 6 a.m. stating she had been robbed by a male who was wearing a ski mask and brandishing a handgun. The assailant fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash and a safe from inside the store.

The Hispanic suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. There was no vehicle seen near the business and there were no reported injuries.
