MOSES LAKE - The Spokane-based A to Z Rentals is moving to a new Moses Lake location.

It is at 2114 W. Broadway Ave.

The contractor and party rental equipment business expects to open its doors on Monday, with three employees to start, said Trevor Kettrick, the company's owner/president.

The number of workers later increases to four or five in the summer.

There is room for local applicants, he said.

Positions include delivery drivers, party crew members for the set up of tables, chairs and tents, and a mechanic/shop employee to service equipment.

Workers at the Moses Lake office are busy installing a fence and shelves, getting a counter ready for the showroom and adding signs and painting.

Moses Lake was selected as a site for the new business because of its growth, Kettrick commented.

The 2010 Census shows Moses Lake experiencing 36.2 percent growth in the last 10 years.

Grant County grew by 19.3 percent.

"There's just a huge potential out there," he said. "It's a place where we get a lot of phone calls from. The need for the style of business we run was a perfect fit."

Moses Lake customers used to call the Spokane location asking for tractors and party equipment.

The business recently provided equipment at a party for Takata in Moses Lake.

"There's no business too big or too small," he said.

The City of Moses Lake was "nice and easy to deal with," he said.

"Everyone was very receptive about what we have to offer," Kettrick added.

He plans to share inventory with the company's six other locations in Spokane and Idaho.

As the Moses Lake business gets up and running, it must determine what inventory the community needs.

Kettrick encourages people to call and ask if they have the item.

"If there's a need for it and I can rent it out, I can get it," he explained. "I just don't know what the clientele of Moses Lake will bring to us yet, whether it's lawn and garden or a big contractor base, but we'll find that out and quickly."

A to Z offers many items for rent, including contractor equipment, party rentals, tents, tables and chairs.

The event rentals can be used for a corporate barbecue.

The Moses Lake store manager is Justin Crump. He is from Richland and has more than 25 years of rental experience.

Kettrick called Crump "very knowledgeable."
