MOSES LAKE -- The Moses Lake Manta Ray swim team hosted swimmers from Wenatchee, East Wenatchee and Ellensburg Saturday; 70 Manta Rays competed.

Natalie Polito, 8, broke the team record set by Lauren McKean in 1992 in the 8 and under 25-yard backstroke. Polito's goal has been to set a new record and her coaches believe her hard work and determination helped her to achieve her goal.

The relay team of Jalen Garza, Kelly Garrett, Megan Harder and Kaylee Pixton broke records in the 200-yard medley and freestyle relays in the 9- and 10-year old girls division.

Leisha Hansen, Courtney Schwiesow, Amber Garrett and Victoria Dalrymple set a new record for the 11- and 12-year-old girls 200-yard medley relay.

The boys 200-yard medley and freestyle relays team of Reid Jackson, Keegan McElligott, Logan McElligott and Levi Huddleston set a new record in the 11- and 12-year-old boys category.

The relay team of Mary Reed, Jessica Massart, Hannah Grigg and Cari Cortez set new records in the 200-yard medley and freestyle relays for the 15 and over girls division.

The Manta Rays' next swim meet is Jan. 13 and 14, 2007 in Yakima.
