Circulation Manager Wanted Columbia Basin Publishing is actively recruiting for a circulation manager to join our leadership team. This full-time position is responsible for customer service excellence, overall department activities and growth of our print and digital audience. This position reports to the Publisher and directly supervises five staff and administers 25 motor route independent delivery contracts. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing a circulation growth strategy that utilizes our unique demographics and geography, in addition to evolving readership patterns. Skills required are: Experience related to periodicals and/or subscription management. Previous experience managing circulation services and staff. Strong knowledge of digital media. Excellent collaboration skills, the ability to work within all disciplines within the company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to customer service excellence. Experience in the publishing field with a background in audience development/circulation management. Experience in online metered and pay wall products. Manage circulation files as to publisher and USPS regulations and specifications. Experience in developing a circulation budget and operating within budgetary guidelines and revenue goals. Analyze, develop and implement strategies to grow digital readers. Ability to coordinate subscriber related business processes between the business, sales and marketing and circulation departments. Identify and resolve problems related to subscription fulfillment and management. Work with outside vendors for marketing/requalification campaigns. Develop yearly circulation goals, promotion plans and budgets. Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel, Word and subscription database management tools/systems. Strong marketing knowledge and analytical ability. Columbia Basin Publishing Co. publishes numerous print newspapers (daily and weekly), in addition to annual magazines and specialty products and tabs. Compensation includes a competitive base salary ($38,000 annually), in addition to bonus and commission opportunities ($5,000 to $10,000 annually) based on monthly and annual revenue goals. Must have a valid driver's license. Hiring is dependent on a background check.
